Erratic Tool Co is a project born out of laziness and fun. There is a trail at Konnowac Pass that had plenty of backslope needing cleaned out. The work was possible with the tools in the quiver but it was going to be a lot of time and effort. Too much time and effort for me to be excited about.

I wanted a tool that could clean out backslope and the trail bed at the same time. I looked for a tool and found nothing that could do the job.

When it wasn’t on the market, I made my own. The shape has evolved six times and a lot of Konnowac Pass has been tuned up while test driving prototype rakes. After testing and changing the shape/materials it’s become a tool that works great on trails. It’s turned into a patent pending pick-rake beast.

It’s time for the HEW to help people find great success blazing trails.
